In a Mission Tournament, we have combined the target-based elements of a Mission with the leaderboard of a Tournament. In this Tournament type, you give all players a mission to complete, and the aim is to complete the mission in the fewest number of spins.
As each player starts to play, they can follow the progress towards completing the tasks of their mission. They also see a Spin Counter, counting every spin they make on their attempt towards completing the set mission.
Once a player completes the mission the first time, let's say in 200 Spins, their score is 200. The mission will now automatically restart for the player, with the aim to complete it again - in less than 200 spins. The player can try over and over again to complete the mission in fewer spins to get a better score and climb the leaderboard.
If the player fails to complete the mission within the number of spins of their best score, the mission automatically resets and the task progress starts from 0 again.
After deciding on a Minimum bet in the tournament and the eligible games, you move on to setting up the prize structure. The Unibo prize tool allows you to set prizes specifically for a position, or the same prize for a range of positions. For example, you might want positions 1-3 to get different cash prizes, but positions 4-10 should receive the same amount of free spins. This leaderboard tool allows you to do that.
A Mission Tournament consists of one mission, but you decide how many tasks you want in the mission. For example, a typical mission could look like this:
- Win 25 times
- Win 4 spins in a row
- Win 10 times your bet 3 times
The player will have to finish all of these three tasks to have the mission completed. Each task will have its progress showing for the player as they play.
Furthermore, there are two additional settings for this tournament type:
- If you select this option, it means that the player will have to complete each task in order, one by one. In the example above, players would first collect 25 wins, then they start the progress towards getting 4 wins in a row, and finally get 3 wins of 10x their bet. If Complete tasks in order is not selected - all three tasks will be counted simultaneously.
- This setting allows the players to restart their mission progress once they have surpassed the set number of spins. For example, if you set this to 50 spins, you allow all players to restart each mission attempt after having played 50 spins - if they are not happy with their current progress/result.
In this tournament, you can easily adjust the mission structure depending on what type of tournament you want to have. For example, do you want to run it on slot games, table games, or perhaps Roulette only? Do you want it to be a short mission or a long mission? Should it be somewhat easy or quite difficult? Everything is possible, it all depends on how you set up the combination of tasks.
